Mom's "Swedish" Meat Balls

- 1 T butter½ Green pepper, chopped1 Onion, minced1 10½ oz. can Chicken with rice soup1 10½ oz. can Tomato soup1 C Water2 Slices bread, cut small½ C Milk1 Lg Egg1 tsp Salt1 lb Ground beefCook pepper and onion in butter until tender.Stir in soups and water. Heat to boiling, then turn down heat.Combine bread, milk, egg, salt & beef.Shape into balls the size of ping-pong balls.Drop into sauce and simmer about 1 hour.
