Stir in the honey, margarine and salt to milk until margarine has melted. The mixture will form bubbles. <br><br><br>Add 1 &frac12; cups of the flour to lukewarm milk mixture and stir well. Beat in the egg and yeast mixture until thoroughly combined. Add remaining 2 &frac12; cups flour, a little at a time, until a sticky dough is formed. Turn out on a floured surface and knead about two minutes. <br><br><br>The dough still will be sticky, but don&#039;t add more flour. Cover with plastic wrap and let stand in warm place until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour or more.<br><br><br>Punch down dough and remove to working surface; divide into 16 equal pieces. Roll out each piece to a rough circle about eight to 10 inches in diameter. Don&#039;t worry if the circles aren&#039;t perfect but they must be no thicker than one-eighth inch. <br><br><br>Heat a large dry skillet over medium-high heat; do not use any oil or grease. Cook each circle 15 seconds, flip and bake about 10 seconds on other side, until mottled brown spots appear. Do not overcook. Spread cherry-cheese mixture over dough. Starting at longer side, roll up rectangle, pressing edges to seal. On prepared cookie sheet, place seam-side down. Form into a ring, firmly pressing ends together. With scissors or sharp knife, cut almost through ring at 1-inch intervals. Turn each section slightly on its side. Bake at 375&deg; for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown. While warm, drizzle with Glaze. Garnish with almonds and reserved cherry halves. <div><b>Strawberry Reduction Instructions<br></b><br><ol><li>I recommend making this reduction the day before you&#039;re ready to make your cake.<br></li><li>Place fresh or thawed, frozen strawberries into a medium saucepan. Optional: blend strawberries with an emersion blender if you prefer a smoother texture of strawberry reduction.<br></li><li>Heat on medium-high and add in sugar (if desired), lemon zest, lemon juice and salt. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.<br></li><li>Once bubbling, reduce heat to medium-low and slowly reduce until berries begin to break up and the mixture has reduced by about half. This will take about 20 minutes. If your mixture has reduced by half and is still watery, continue to cook until all of the liquid is out.<br></li><li>Occasionally stir the mixture to prevent burning. You should end up with about 2 cups of thick strawberry reduction that looks like tomato sauce. Transfer to another container and let cool before use. <br></li><li>You will use some of the reduction for the cake batter, some for the frosting and the rest for filling between the cake layers for extra moisture. Leftover reduction can be stored in the fridge for up to one week or frozen for 6 months.<br></li></ol><br><b><br></b><br><b>Strawberry Cake Instructions</b><br><i>NOTE: It is SUPER IMPORTANT that all the room temperature ingredients listed above are room temperature and not cold or hot.</i><br><ol><li>Make sure to take your strawberry reduction out of the refrigerator 1 hour before making your cake so that it comes to room temperature.<br></li><li>Adjust an oven rack to the middle position and preheat to 350&ordm;F/176&ordm;C.<br></li><li>Grease three 8" cake pans with cake goop or preferred pan release<br></li><li>In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the milk, strawberry reduction, strawberry emulsion, vanilla extract, lemon extract, lemon zest, lemon juice, and pink food coloring.<br></li><li>In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.<br></li><li>Add room temperature butter to your stand mixer with the paddle attachment and beat at medium speed until smooth and shiny, about 30 seconds.<br></li><li>Gradually sprinkle in the sugar, beat until mixture is fluffy and almost white, about 3-5 minutes.<br></li><li>Add the egg whites one at a time, beating 15 seconds in between. Your mixture should look cohesive at this point. If it looks curdled and broken, your butter or egg whites were too cold. <br></li><li>Mix on low speed and add about a third of the dry ingredients to the batter, followed immediately by about a third of the milk mixture, mix until ingredients are almost incorporated into the batter. Repeat the process 2 more times. When the batter appears blended, stop the mixer and scrape the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula. If it looks like ice cream, you did it right!<br></li><li>Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Smooth the tops with a rubber spatula.<br></li><li>Bake cakes at 350&ordm;F/176&ordm;C until they feel firm in the center and a toothpick comes out clean or with just a few crumbs on it, about 30-35 minutes.<br></li><li>Place pans on top of a wire rack and let cool for 10 minutes. Then flip your cakes onto the racks and cool completely. <br></li><li>Once cooled, wrap each layer in plastic wrap and refrigerate or freeze before assembling your cake.<br></li></ol></div>
<div><b>Cake Notes </b><br><br><div>Make sure all your ingredients (egg whites, milk, butter, reduction) are room temperature or a little warm so that your batter doesn&#039;t curdle.<br>For the best success, use a food scale to weigh your ingredients. Converting this recipe to cups could lead to failure. Read my blog post on how to use a scale for more information.<br>I use Americolor electric pink food coloring to get my beautiful pink color. It may seem like cheating, but if you don&#039;t add it, the color from the strawberries will bake out and your cake will turn out gray.<br>I&#039;m using my Bosch Universal Plus mixer for this, but you can use any KitchenAid stand mixer or a hand mixer. <br>You must use egg WHITES for this recipe, the yellow from the egg could turn the inside of your cake peach. <br>I like to use LorAnn oil&#039;s strawberry bakery emulsion, but you can also use extract. <br><br><b>Reduction Notes</b><br>When making your reduction, the goal is to get as much liquid out as possible without burning the strawberries. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Spread the chopped pecans on the sheet and toast for 7-8 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.<br><br>Turn the oven up to 350&deg;F. Grease two or three 9-inch cake pans, line with parchment paper, then grease the parchment paper. Parchment paper helps the cakes seamlessly release from the pans.<br><br>Whisk the brown sugar, granulated sugar, oil, eggs, applesauce, and vanilla together in a large bowl until combined and no brown sugar lumps remain. <br><br>In another large bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves together. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and, using a rubber spatula or wooden spoon, fold the ingredients together until just combined. Fold in the carrots and 1 cup of the toasted pecans. (The rest of the pecans are for garnish.)<br><br>Pour/spoon the batter evenly into the cake pans. If using three cake pans, bake for 20-24 minutes. If using two cake pans, bake for 30-35 minutes. Test the center with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, the cakes are done. If not, continue to bake until cooked through. Do not over-bake. Allow the cakes to cool completely in the pans set on a wire rack. The cakes must be completely cool before frosting and assembling.</div><br><br><b>Make the frosting:</b><br><div>In a large bowl using a handheld or stand mixer fitted with a whisk or paddle attachment, beat the cream cheese and butter together on medium-high speed until smooth, about 2 minutes. Add the confectioners&rsquo; sugar, cream/milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Beat on low speed for 30 seconds, then increase to high speed and beat for 3 minutes until completely combined and creamy. Add more confectioners&rsquo; sugar if frosting is too thin, more milk if frosting is too thick, or an extra pinch of salt if frosting is too sweet. Frosting should be soft, but not runny.<br><br><b>Assemble and frost: </b><br>First, using a large serrated knife or cake leveler, layer off the tops of the cakes to create a flat surface. Place 1 cake layer on your cake stand or serving plate. Evenly cover the top with frosting. Top with 2nd layer, more frosting, and then top with the 3rd layer. Spread remaining frosting all over the top and sides. Decorate the sides and top of the cake with the remaining toasted pecans. <br><br>Refrigerate cake for at least 15-20 minutes before slicing. This helps the cake hold its shape when cutting.</div><br><b><br></b></div>

Bake until golden brown, 10 to 15 minutes, shaking pan occasionally for even color. Remove from the oven. <br><br>Melt the butter in a large skillet. Add the onions, carrots, and scallions. Cook, stirring from time to time, until the onions are translucent. Remove from the heat and set aside. Heat another large skillet or a wok if you have one. Add a splash of oil and swirl it around. Pour the eggs into the hot skillet. Cook as you would scrambled eggs. When the eggs are barely done, add the vegetables, rice, 3 tablespoons of the garlic butter (you can add more if desired) and sesame seeds and sprinkle with the soy sauce. Allow the beef and cornstarch to sit until most of the juices from the meat have been absorbed by the cornstarch, about 10 minutes.<br><br><br>Heat the vegetable oil in a deep-sided skillet or wok to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).<br><br><br>Shake excess cornstarch from the beef slices, and drop them into the hot oil, a few at a time. Stir briefly, and fry until the edges become crisp and start to brown, about 2 minutes. Remove the beef from the oil with a large slotted spoon, and allow to drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.<br><br><br>Pour the oil out of the skillet or wok, and return the pan to medium heat. Return the beef slices to the pan, stir briefly, and pour in the reserved sauce. Stir once or twice to combine, and add the green onions. Serve hot. <br><br><br><b>Notes</b><br>MAKE AHEAD: You can make the bacon wrapped dates 2 days ahead of time. The day you plan on serving them, add them to a pot, cover with a lid and cook over low heat until hot. <br><br>HOW TO REHEAT: add them to a pot, cover with a lid and cook over low heat until hot. You can also heat in the microwave until hot or place them on a sheet tray lined with parchment paper and bake them at 325&deg; for 10-12 minutes or until hot. <br><br>HOW TO STORE: Keep covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. <br><br>HOW TO FREEZE: These do not freeze that well, but you can place them in the freezer covered for up to 2 months. Add ketchup for the glaze.<br><br>Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour, rotating halfway through, until the center is firm to the touch and reads 150&deg; to 155&deg;F on a thermometer. Let rest for about 15 minutes before slicing.</div></div></div>

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. <br><br>Make the herb butter by combining room temperature butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, one tablespoon fresh chopped rosemary, one tablespoon fresh chopped thyme, and half a tablespoon of fresh chopped sage. (You&rsquo;ll use the remaining fresh herbs for stuffing inside the cavity of the turkey)<br>Remove turkey from packaging and remove the neck and giblets from the inside the cavities of the bird. (Reserve them for gravy, if you want, or discard them). Pat the turkey very dry with paper towels. <br><br>Season the cavity of the turkey with salt and pepper. Stuff it with the quartered lemon, onion and apple and leftover herbs. <br><br>Use your fingers to loosen and lift the skin above the breasts (on the top of the turkey) and smooth a few tablespoons of the herb butter underneath.<br>Tuck the wings of the turkey underneath the turkey and set the turkey on a roasting rack inside a roasting pan. <br><br>Microwave the remaining herb butter mixture for 30 seconds (it doesn&rsquo;t need to be completely melted--just really softened). Use a basting brush to brush the remaining herb butter all over the outside of the turkey, legs and wings. <br><br>Roast at 325 degrees F for about 13-15 minutes per pound, or until internal temperature (inserted on middle of thigh and breast) reaches about 165 degrees.   <br><br>Check the turkey about halfway through cooking, and once the skin gets golden brown, cover the top of the turkey with tinfoil, to protect the breast meat from overcooking.  <i>(I remove the turkey from the oven once it reaches 160 degrees. Then, I tent it with foil, and it will continue cooking under the foil, to reach 165 degrees F.) </i><br><br>Allow turkey to rest for 20-30 minutes before carving. <br><br>Reserve any drippings and juice remaining in your roasting pan to make turkey gravy. </div>
